A Sneak Peek at Your Future Role
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, maintain, and optimize scalable and secure cloud environments. You’ll ensure reliability, performance, and security across large infrastructure landscapes, applying best practices in automation, monitoring, and compliance. You will work in a squad team, taking ownership of infrastructure solutions while collaborating closely with software engineers, architects, and data teams.
This role focuses on ensuring reliability and performance across large infrastructure landscapes by implementing best practices in automation, monitoring, and security. You’ll play a key role in tasks such as patching, scaling, and monitoring cloud services, managing backups, and setting up proactive alerts to prevent incidents and budget overruns.
Beyond operational tasks, you will focus on platform engineering and automation projects, streamlining recurring processes such as database provisioning to reduce manual work from days to minutes. This is a role for someone who thrives on technical challenges, takes ownership, and contributes to the continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure.
Here Are the Key Tasks You'll Be Working on Every Day
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure environments, including creating, configuring, and scaling resources to meet changing business needs.
- Ensure system reliability and security by performing updates, applying patches, monitoring system health, and resolving potential issues. Track performance, set up alerts for incidents and budget management, and optimize networks for resilience and efficiency.
- Develop and promote best practices for infrastructure and security operations.
- Automate tasks to improve efficiency by reducing manual effort and implementing automation that enhances speed, consistency, and quality. Protect business continuity through comprehensive backup and recovery strategies. Work with engineers, architects, and data teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals.
We're Thrilled to Have You Consider Joining Our Team. Here Are the Qualifications We're Seeking
- At least five years of solid experience overseeing and optimizing cloud-based operations and workflows.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using Terraform templates and YAML.
- Proficiency with both traditional and modern cloud infrastructure topics, such as networking in Azure (Networking, Firewalls with Sophos UTM/Azure Firewall), monitoring and alerting with Azure Monitor, identity management with Azure Entra/Windows Active Directory, and Azure IaaS.
- Strong experience with Platform Engineering concepts to automate manual processes and reduce multi-day tasks to minutes.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services, Azure Kubernetes Services, PowerShell, and Bash. Experience working with Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
